Carlisle Youth Zone need YOUR help

11th January 2016 by OnSide

Greg Stalker, a Youth Worker at Carlisle Youth Zone is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro all in aid of Carlisle Youth Zone, but he needs YOUR help.

Back in November 2015 at Carlisle Youth Zone’s (CYZ) Business Breakfast Greg Stalker, was and I quote from Greg himself, ‘the slightly strange guy’ on the step machine in the corner trying to raise awareness for a fundraising trek up Kilimanjaro.

Since then CYZ has been one of the thousands of homes and businesses across the city devastated by the recent floods, but that has just fuelled Greg and his friend Greg to make this challenge happen.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Carlisle Youth Zone Trustee, Brian Scowcroft, CYZ now have the funds to be able to participate on the trek up one of the world’s biggest mountains!

The team will be leaving on 11th March 2016, spending a total of 8 days on the mountain until they reach the summit. They have a target to raise £10,000 and with less than 10 weeks until they leave the UK time is against them!

ALL 100% of funds raised will go straight back to CYZ to help them get back on their feet following the recent flood disaster.

If you can support, please do so by visiting www.virginmoneygiving.com/cyztrek or Text Zone00 £5 to 70070

For more information on the challenge you can email Greg Stalker on: greg.stalker@carlisleyouthzone.org who will inform you of how you can help!

Thank you for your support.
