Take a Virtual TourRugby League legend Jon Wilkin and his talented St Helens teammate Mark Flanagan recently threw their weight behind our Golf Classic event at Stockport Gold Club; helping inspire 20 leading businesses to raise £13,000 for our young people.
Hosted by the St Helens pair, teams including; Agilisys, Hill Dickinson, The PFA, Pulse Fitness, RBS, Seven Architecture and long-standing supporter and generous sponsor Wainhomes all took to the glorious course of Stockport Golf Club in aid of OnSide Youth Zones.
Blessed with good weather once again, the golfers teed off in good spirits at midday for a shotgun start, which always makes for a fun event with all teams out on the course at the same time. After the day’s good play, Guy Topping of Barton Grange Garden Centres compered the evening’s formalities which included a young talented enterprise group from Wigan Youth Zone presenting to their award-winning Cookie Mad project to the guests.
A quiz and auction then followed before prizes to overall winners, The PFA, and the best scorer of the day Mark Row of One Stop Hire, were awarded.
