In partnership with Vauxhall Motors,15-year-old Blackburn Youth member Jason Dugdale enjoyed the opportunity of a lifetime last night as he joined the England Football Team as official flag bearer at Wembley prior to England’s 2-0 International friendly win over France.
Jason, from Blackburn, walked onto the pitch alongside the likes of Wayne Rooney, Joe Hart and Raheem Sterling.
The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, on an emotional night at Wembley following the tragic events in Paris, provided Jason with an exclusive, front-row view of his heroes preparing for the game from the England Team dug-out before joining the squad in the tunnel and walking out to proudly fly the St George’s flag and supporting the Lions onto victory.
Jason Dugdale commented on the opportunity, saying: “I was over the moon to be chosen to represent my Youth Zone and town. I’ve always dreamed of watching a home game at Wembley and can’t believe how lucky I was that my dream actually become a reality.”
David Barton, Youth and Engagement Manager at OnSide said: “We’re so proud to have had Jason flying the flag for our Youth Zone network and representing all our members. A big thanks to Vauxhall Motors for giving Jason this opportunity, he literally can’t stop smiling.”
Well done Jason!
