Finance & Administration Assistant

A rare opportunity has arisen to join the prestigious HideOut, East Manchester Youth Zone’s team in a vital and highly rewarding operational role. The Finance & Administration Assistants are responsible for the charity’s day-to-day financial activities including recording/processing member transactions, issuing supporter invoices, raising purchase orders and processing supplier payments, reconciling transactions, as well as supporting the Business Administration Manager and Finance Manager with Management Accounts related tasks. They also play a crucial role through the provision of first-class administrative support to the Business Administration Manager and wider Senior Leadership Team in the areas of recruitment, HR and maintaining membership records.

The ideal candidate will have:

• at least two years’ experience in a finance role which was responsible for day-to-day finance tasks including purchase orders, processing supplier invoices, creating sales invoices, bank reconciliation & assisting with reporting
• highly developed IT skills: working knowledge of accounting software such as Sage 50 (essential), intermediate/advanced user of Microsoft Office (essential) and database experience (desirable)
• wide-ranging admin experience in a fast-paced environment/s
• excellent organisational skills and an ability to cope with multiple demands and deadline
