Inclusion Co-ordinator

HideOut Youth Zone is recruiting an Inclusion Co-ordinator to design and deliver a programme of activities for young people. The  activities will be inclusive, supports community cohesion and provides an environment where members from diverse demographics, ethnic communities, and those with disabilities feel safe, involved and welcome. To diversify and grow participation rates to ensure engagement is representative of the demographics of East Manchester and surrounding areas. To carry out targeted outreach and partnership work across the region to promote HideOut Youth Zone and gain an understanding of and work to overcome any barriers to participation.

You will have extensive proven experience of:

• working with young people aged 8 to 19 years – and up to 25 for those with additional needs – in a range of settings, including open access youth work
• championing children and young people with challenging behaviour and complex needs and supporting them to play an active role in their communities
• managing a staff team including volunteers and experience of dealing with safeguarding issues within a multi-agency setting
• designing and delivering a programme of youth work activities in an open access setting
