Take a Virtual TourPeter Jenkins is Interim Director of Communications and Public Affairs at OnSide, leading national communications, public affairs and marketing across a growing network of 19 Youth Zones supporting over 60,000 young people in areas of disadvantage.
With more than two decades of senior leadership experience spanning corporate, charity and government sectors, Peter has built and led communications and public affairs functions in some of the UK’s most highly regulated sectors, including energy, water and social care. His career includes senior roles at the British Chambers of Commerce, the Royal Academy of Engineering, Water UK, Laird PLC, Leonard Cheshire Disability, and Energy UK.
Peter started his career at the BBC and House of Commons Library. He has worked closely with C-Suite executives and Boards on strategic communications, reputation management, brand building and crisis comms, delivering award-winning campaigns for disabled people’s rights.
He currently serves as a Board Trustee at Carers First, chairing its Governance and People Committee, having previously been Vice-Chair at the charity Cambridge House.
