I joined Legacy Youth Zone in 2022, and honestly, it’s become way more than just a place to hang out — it’s where I’ve been able to grow, feel safe, and really focus on my talent. I love loads of the activities here, like cooking, gaming, and especially music. The music sessions have been huge for me, they’ve helped shape me into an aspiring rapper.
Since joining, I’ve taken part in music masterclasses, worked on my own tracks, and even got music mentoring from a volunteer music producer. Through these sessions, I’ve found the confidence to embrace my skills and push myself further. Like I always say, “It’s helped me to become confident and embrace my talent, I’ve also grown in my music journey because of the opportunities I’ve had through Legacy.”
Legacy isn’t just somewhere I go, it’s my community.
I’ve made new friends here and found a real sense of belonging. Looking ahead, I’m determined to keep refining my craft, growing as a person and a musician. One day, I want to build a Youth Zone of my own — a space that can make the same life-changing difference for other young people that Legacy has made for me.
