At graduation, cohort members from across the OnSide network – East Manchester Youth Zone, Wirral Youth Zone, Warrington Youth Club, Wigan Youth Zone, Barking and Dagenham Youth Zone, Carlisle Youth Zone, Bolton Lads and Girls Club and OnSide Youth Zones presented to their peers and line managers about the transformational effect the course has had on their personal growth and development.
Chair of OnSide’s Executive Board, John Roberts, opened the graduation with a rousing speech about what makes an exceptional leader, sharing his own invaluable experience and tips.
The OnSide Talent Academy continues to strengthen the network, stimulating the sharing of best practice, and increasing the recognition of the added value provided by OnSide. OnSide exists to support the personal development and self-belief of young people and through the Talent Academy, we aim to do the same for employees across the Network.
The Aspiring Leaders modules include Managing Self; Managing Others; Finance & Major Donor Fundraising and Managing Change. The programme is designed by OnSide Youth Zones and InStep Training to develop both the individual while applying their learning to both their own Youth Zone and the OnSide network as a whole.

Throughout 2020, the Talent Academy is continuing to strengthen the network and support personal growth and career development through; the Fundraising Academy, Youth Work Diploma, Board development, Masterclasses and the Effective People Manager Programme.
