Take a Virtual Tour20 leading businesses joined us at Stockport Golf Club on Thursday (19th June) to help us raise £12,500 at our annual Warren Hegg Golf Classic tournament.
Hosted by former England and Lancashire cricketer, Warren Hegg, teams including; AJ Bell, Eric Wright Construction, the PFA , PwC, RBS and Smeg competed in the event, which was sponsored by Wainhomes and Dynamik Sports Floors.
Blessed with good weather once again, the golfers took to the course in good spirits at midday for a shotgun start, which always makes for a fun event with all teams out on the course at the same time. After the day’s good play, Guy Topping of Barton Grange Garden Centres compered the evening’s formalities.
As lead sponsor, Wainhomes has helped OnSide raise a significant sum, and this generous support helping us to take the next step in our ambitious plans in developing the pipeline of new Youth Zones in places such as Wolverhampton and the Wirral. The total amount raised came from team entry fees and a quiz and auction at dinner.

Huge thanks must go to Wainhomes and Dynamik Sport Floors as well as all those who took part, or donated prizes and auction lots. Events like the golf day are an important part of our fundraising, and really help further our ambitions to open Youth Zones wherever they are needed.
