It sets a clear direction for us as a charity that’s committed to supporting young people now and long into the future.
We’re proud of the progress we’ve made in the last 15 years, now working with 55,000 young people across the country. But young people need and deserve so much more. We know that for this young generation, it is more challenging than it has been for any in living memory. That’s particularly the case for those growing up in some of our more disadvantaged communities where so many have so few opportunities.
Whether it’s the impact of poverty, the lack of support services in many communities, or the new risks of young people spending so much time on phones at the cost of real-life activities and interactions with friends.
It is vital that we act so more young people can benefit from life-changing youth centres and youth work. Our goal is to grow a flourishing network of 35 Youth Zones supporting over 150,000 young people by 2035. Over the next three years, we will focus on six strategic goals to further our progress of making our vision a reality:
