Last night The Way Youth Zone hosted their Founder Patron Preview night at the home of what will be our 7th Youth Zone to open next month.
With just 45 days to go until they officially open, last night gave The Way’s dedicated Founder Patron’s their opportunity to see their £6m facility up-close.
As you will see in the gallery below, the event was a HUGE success. Members of the Young People’s Development Group, who have played their part from day one of the project, presented the Founder Patron’s with their plaques, recognising their support.
The Way’s young people, who cannot wait for the facility to open next month, then gave all the guests a personal tour of the facility, showing Founder Patron’s just why their support will be so vital to the city’s young people.
The Way team also invited local community groups and school children into their facility to perform dance routines, drama performances and a boxing show to entertain the guests on their tours.
Youth Zone Chairman Steve Morgan OBE opened up proceedings, setting the scene and thanking all of the guests before General Manager Alice Davey and our young people took over. Wolverhampton Wanderers legend and Youth Zone Ambassador Steve Bull MBE was just one of the high profile supporters in attendance!
The Way General Manager Alice Davey said: “The Founder Patron event was a huge hit. I want to pay a massive thank you to all our Founder Patron’s and to our young people for making them feel so welcome. We hope many will be inspired to continue their support in the years to come.”
