Take a Virtual TourWe were thrilled to return to Stockport Golf Club for the Annual Warren Hegg Golf Classic 2019 on Thursday 11th July for the 9th time – in support of OnSide Youth Zones. It was truly wonderful to see so many familiar teams returning and to welcome new supporters.
We are incredibly grateful to Wainhomes for their continued sponsorship of this event. As long-standing supporters of OnSide, Wainhomes have witnessed the impact that Youth Zones are having on local communities as they continue to support the network in many ways.
A huge thank you also goes to former Lancashire and England cricket legend, Warren Hegg. Warren continues to be a fantastic supporter of the OnSide Golf Day and were delighted that he agreed to host this event once again.
We were pleased to welcome 24 teams onto the course where a great round of golf was enjoyed by all in somewhat changeable weather conditions! Congratulations to our team winners – Agilisys 1st place, Barton Grange Group 2nd place, Kay Johnston and Gee 3rd Place.
A fantastic day of golf was followed with an evening of superb entertainment, hosted by our long term supporter Guy Topping, which included a night of fine dining, fantastic auction prizes and a star performance from Maddison Peacock from Mahdlo Youth Zones, who shared both her stunning voice and her journey with Mahdlo Youth Zone, detailing the positive affect it has had on her life. We are absolutely thrilled that a whopping £24k was raised on the day and this goes towards helping OnSide spearhead the growth of Youth Zones across the country, supporting our aim to give every young person somewhere safe and inspiring to go in their leisure time.
Expansion of the OnSide network relies on the support and backing of, the business community. The money raised at this year’s event will enable us to continue creating places where young people can grow and develop; discover new experiences, broaden horizons and raise aspirations, empowering them to reach their full potential.
