Back Youth Alliance

The Back Youth Alliance is a collaboration of senior leaders and youth representatives from some of the UK’s leading youth charities, working together to present a coherent voice to decision-makers with and for young people.

Members share a common belief in creating a society in which young people are safe, equipped to thrive, treated equally and are able to contribute as active citizens in their communities.

Between them, BYA members collectively support millions of young people across the UK. By harnessing the power of this combined reach and their trusted reputations, the Back Youth Alliance works to ensure that young people are heard, understood and prioritised at the highest levels of public policy.

Members work collaboratively with one voice to create positive, policy-led change for young people and promote funding and investment – by sharing evidence and insight; campaigning on shared priorities and enabling young people to engage directly with decision makers on a range of issues that matter to and affect them. These include education and skills, mental health and wellbeing, tackling serious violence, and promoting active citizenship.

With young people currently facing unprecedented challenges, it has never been more urgent to create opportunities that enable them to flourish and support them to raise their voice.
