Active Youth helps inactive young people become active again through a series of fun and engaging physical activities delivered in small groups with peer young leaders. Funded by UK Youth, the project is based in a number of Youth Zones in the North West. The Active Youth project aims to break down the barriers and insecurities around physical activity, helping to increase confidence, self-esteem and promoting healthy behaviours.
The first phase of the project was carried out through the pandemic to keep young people active and to alleviate isolation. Future phases will build on this and work with our inactive members to inspire them and to provide opportunities to try new physical activities.
