“It’s what’s in the heart that matters”

Daniel Wain has cerebral palsy, and is a powerchair user. He has recently moved into supported living with 2 other young people.

Not letting his disability hold him back, Daniel is a keen sportsman and plays for the Oldham Wheelies Powerchair Football Team. After taking up Boccia at high school and starting to play for Rochdale Boccia’s in 2010, he went on to win the Borough of Rochdale Disability Sports Achiever of the Year Award and was also entered into the Greater Manchester Sports Awards.

Daniel plays in the BC1 category and after placing 3rd in Great Britain in 21014, he was invited onto the Boccia England Talent Pathway programme.
