I was drawn to Onside’s innovative approach in combining youth work, creativity, and meaningful engagement. My motivation stems from the belief that every young person deserves opportunities to flourish, express themselves, and shape their futures positively. I’m driven by the chance to contribute actively to initiatives that have lasting impacts on youth well-being and social change.
What’s been a memorable moment you’ve had working with the team?
Currently, I am engaged in a secondment position with the Onside network. However, my most memorable experience was leading the Sony music mentoring project among the London youth zones. In this role, I was responsible for guiding young individuals in showcasing their musical talents to their families and friends.
What was the first Youth Zone you visited and what did you think?
Warrington Youth Zone was the first one, stunning! I could not believe that this was even a real thing!
What would be your go-to Youth Zone room and why?
The performing arts studio is a place where I find immense joy. It’s especially special to see young people embrace and explore such a vibrant and enriching culture.
