Take a Virtual Tour224 Youth Zone, opening in Spring 2026 in South Bristol, will be a vibrant, state-of-the-art space for young people aged 8 to 19 (up to 25 with additional needs). As the new home of Youth Moves and part of the OnSide Network, it will offer over 20 activities – from football, boxing, climbing, and creative arts to music, drama, and employability training – seven days a week.
For just 50p per visit, members will access an indoor climbing wall, 3G kick pitch, fully equipped gym, dance and drama studio, music room, arts and crafts space, skate park, martial arts gym, enterprise suite, a dedicated health and wellbeing room, and a café serving hot meals for £1 per session. 224 Youth Zone is designed to provide a safe, inspiring environment where young people can build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of belonging.
We’re looking for enthusiastic Creative Sessional Youth Workers to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis (8–24 hours per week) to deliver engaging arts, crafts, music, media, and creative activities for young people aged 8–19 (up to 25 with additional needs).
This role involves regular evening and weekend shifts.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver inclusive creative sessions (art, music, media, drama, crafts, digital creativity) adapted for a range of abilities, interests, and needs.
Encourage experimentation, creative expression, and young people’s ideas.
Support young people to showcase their work through performances, exhibitions, recordings, or events.
Use creativity to promote emotional wellbeing, confidence, resilience, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Build positive relationships and provide professional guidance and support.
Supervise and support volunteers within sessions.
Ensure all sessions meet safeguarding, health and safety, and equality standards.
You’ll have experience working with children and young people and a passion for using creative activities to empower them. You’re able to create safe, inclusive spaces where young people feel valued, heard, and inspired to explore their creativity. Experience leading arts or creative sessions, and relevant qualifications in the creative industries, are highly desirable.
You must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and additional sessions as required.
This position requires an Enhanced DBS check in line with Youth Moves’ Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures.
