Barking and Dagenham Youth Zone, named by young people as ‘Future’, is a purpose-built facility for the borough’s young people aged 8 – 19, and up to 25 for those with disabilities. It is London’s first OnSide Youth Zone thanks to the support of project partners Barking and Dagenham Council, The Queen’s Trust and Jack Petchey Foundation.
Within six months of opening, Future Youth Zone recruited over 6,500 members!
The Youth Zone is crammed with incredible facilities that young people from across Barking and Dagenham can access for a cost of £5 for an annual membership and 50p per visit. Future Youth Zone provides a safe environment where young people can come and enjoy themselves, enabling young people to raise their aspirations and confidence, to create a happier and healthier generation.
