Why Barnet?

Barnet Youth Zone, named by young people as ‘Unitas’, is an independent charity and is a purpose-built facility for the borough’s young people aged 8 – 19, and up to 25 for those with disabilities. It is located on Montrose Playing Fields in Burnt Oak, near to Grahame Park and Colindale, as part of the redevelopment and regeneration of the playing fields.

Within six months of opening, Unitas recruited over 5,500 members!

The Youth Zone is crammed with incredible facilities that young people from across Barnet can access for a cost of £5 for an annual membership and 50p per visit.  Unitas Youth Zone provides a safe environment where young people can come and enjoy themselves, enabling young people to raise their aspirations and confidence, to create a happier and healthier generation.
