Take a Virtual TourThanks to funding from Accenture Foundation UK and AO Smile Foundation, Mahdlo (Oldham), The Factory (Manchester), Wigan Youth Zone, Carlisle Youth Zone, Blackburn Youth Zone and Bolton Lads and Girls Club recently received combined grant of £257,000 to implement a new ‘Get A Job’ course, which aims to help young people aged 16-19 years old get the right skills to secure employment.
The project, co-ordinated by OnSide, is particularly distinct as it will allow our Youth Zones to support young people who are not in eduction, employment or training, as well as young people deemed ‘at risk’ or ‘hard to reach’, as well as those from deprived backgrounds.
A huge success story of the course is Mahdlo’s 19-year-old attendee Elliot Collymore who has impressed local Oldham design company North Planet.
