Take a Virtual Tour224 Youth Zone, opening in Spring 2026 in South Bristol, will be a dynamic, state-of-the-art space for young people aged 8 to 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs. As the new home of Youth Moves, and part of the OnSide Network, it will provide over 20 exciting activities – from climbing, football and boxing to music, dance, drama and creative arts – seven days a week.
For just 50p per visit, young people will have access to purpose-built facilities including an indoor climbing wall, 3G kick pitch, fully equipped gym, dance and drama studio, music room, arts and crafts room, enterprise suite, wellbeing space and more, plus a hot meal for £1 every session. At its heart, 224 Youth Zone is about creating a safe, inspiring environment where young people feel supported, heard and empowered to thrive.
We’re looking for a passionate and creative Creative Coordinator to join our team on a permanent contract (30 hours per week) to design and lead our creative arts offer for young people aged 8–19 (up to 25 with additional needs).
This role involves regular evening and weekend shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing and delivering a high-quality creative arts programme across the Arts & Crafts room, Dance/Drama studio, Film & Media room and Music Studio.
Leading, supporting and developing a team of sessional staff and volunteers.
Ensuring activities promote confidence, wellbeing and personal development, aligned to our youth work curriculum.
Managing budgets, monitoring impact and maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusion.
Engaging young people in shaping, planning and evaluating the creative programme.
Building partnerships with local organisations to strengthen opportunities for young people.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the creative heart of a brand-new Youth Zone and make a lasting difference to young people in South Bristol. You will bring extensive experience of delivering creative activities to young people, alongside the ability to engage and inspire those who may be vulnerable, disengaged or facing barriers to participation.
You’ll be confident leading sessions, managing multiple priorities and supporting a team of staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality provision. A strong understanding of the challenges facing young people, particularly those from minoritised communities, is essential, as is a commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and youth-led practice.
You must be willing to work regular evenings and weekends.
In accordance with Youth Moves’ Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures, this position requires an enhanced DBS check.
