Youth Worker Thames Gateway Youth Zone

Added 26th March 2026

Are you passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives? We’re looking for someone brilliant to join our team and help bring to life Thames Gateway Youth Zone – a vibrant, purpose-built space where young people can thrive.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in engaging and supporting young people aged 8–19 (up to 25 with additional needs), helping to create a safe, welcoming and inspiring environment where they feel valued and empowered.

As a Youth Worker, you’ll help plan and deliver fun, engaging sessions that young people want to be part of, while building positive relationships through everyday interactions, guidance and informal mentoring.

A central part of the role involves supporting the delivery of the Young People’s Development Group (YPDG) – a weekly session that empowers young people to share their ideas, influence decisions about the Youth Zone, and develop confidence, skills and connections within their community.
