About Hammersmith and Fulham Youth Zone

Based in White City, Hammersmith and Fulham Youth Zone will be part of an innovative education hub, known as EdCity, along with a new school, nursery, adult education centre and affordable housing.

Named WEST (standing for ‘Where Everyone Sticks Together’) by local young people, it will be open to young people from across Hammersmith and Fulham who’ll have access to all the fantastic facilities for a cost of £5 for an annual membership and 50p per visit.

WEST Youth Zone will be a brand new, purpose-built building fizzing with energy, and crammed with incredible facilities. It will be staffed by skilled and dedicated youth workers who truly believe in young people – helping them see what they could achieve, and giving them the skills, confidence and ambition to go for it.

What will be in Hammersmith and Fulham Youth Zone?

  • a 4-court indoor sports hall
  • Indoor climbing wall
  • Fitness Suite with state-of-the-art gym equipment
  • Boxing and martial arts room
  • Performing arts studio
  • Music suite with instruments and recording equipment
  • Large open plan recreation area
  • Project rooms, including arts, crafts and fashion
  • Film and multi-media facilities
  • Teaching/mentoring kitchen
  • Café serving hot nutritious meals costing no more than £1
  • Multi-use games area/kick pitch with flood lights
  • Breakout room to include activities such as employability workshops, general and gender specific health/youth issue topics/projects and youth participation.
